I have an i7 4790k OC to 4.6GHz and was wondering I just turned off a power save feature in the bios and it stays at 4.6GHz are there any side effects? In terms of responsiveness, how would it fair against scaling the CPU clock? -- I am assuming this in marginal

I just bought a budget gaming PC. I have a pentium g3258 and plan to overclock is to ~4.2 GHz (or whatever is safe max oc). In terms of overall performance and single core performance, how much better is the i5-4440? (Please try to quantify) I understand this seems somewhat odd, but we have an...
