    Pinnacle Studio 17

Hi A further query regarding this topic. I have not been able to resolve the problem of split video and audio tracks. It seems strange that Studio provides an option to split out the audio from video to a separate track without a similar option to combine them. Anyway, as we are stuck with this...

    Pinnacle Studio 17

Hi Ken Thanks for replying. No, is basically the answer. Dragging the audio or copying and pasting either a single audio or the whole timeline to the video just obliterates the video. The video and audio are entirely distinct. I don't understand why Studio imports a previous projects this way...

    Pinnacle Studio 17

Hi I've just upgraded from Pinnacle Studio v14 to v17. There is an option to import older projects into the new version, however, it does so by importing the video and audio into separate timelines. Does any know how to recombine these into a single timeline? Thanks. Ian

    Intel Xeon E5-4650 Motherboard compatibility

Bambiboom No problems with the motherboard and CPU. It only required to configure the BIOS correctly and everything is OK including the SSD drive. In fact, the system goes like $*%#

8 or 16 cores and core parking

Hi I have 2 queries relating to CPU cores. I've just completed a rebuild with an Intel Xeon E5-4650 on an ASRock X79 Extreme9 mobo running Windows7 Ultimate x64. It's proving to be an excellent setup. However, I've noticed that device manager shows 16 drivers for the 8 core CPU. I changed the...

    SSD not recognised by BIOD

Hi Managed to get the BIOS to recognise the SSD after a great deal of reconfiguration and cable swapping. As far as the OS is concerned I've had no problem with migration. Basically, I followed these steps: 1. I first converted all drivers to generic format. 2. I then used Acronis to create an...

    SSD not recognised by BIOD

Hi Thanks for replying, however, the SSD is working perfectly. The only thing that I've changed on the PC is the motherboard and the CPU. The drive and all other components have not been touched. I think it's something to do with the motherboard configuration? Ian

    SSD not recognised by BIOD

Hi I have a Toshiba 512Gb used for Windows7 x64 OS. It has worked fine until now. However, I have now changed the motherboard (ASRock X79 Extreme9) and CPU (Intel Xeon E5-4650) and everything is fine except for one major problem. Although the BIOS recognises CPU, memory and all other SATA...

    Intel Xeon E5-4650 Motherboard compatibility

BambiBoom Just to let you know ASRock X79 motherboards are compatible with the Intel Xeon E5-4650. I have just bought the Extreme9 board and it recognised the CPU without a problem. None of the Asus or Gigabyte boards are compatible. The only problem with the new setup is that, although the BIOS...

Will Asus EATX fit ATX case

Thanks. As the new board is not a true, full size, EATX I was hope that it might fit. It actually looks like it might just squeeze in. I guess I'll have to strip it down and use a ruler. Ian

Will Asus EATX fit ATX case

Hi I have an Antec P182 midi tower. I want to upgrade my PC using an Asus EATX mobo. I understand that the standard ATX is 12"x9.6" and the new mobo is 12"x10.7" (not a true EATX). Firstly, can anyone confirm of the mounting holes on the larger board are in the same location as the standard ATX...

    Intel Xeon E5-4650 Motherboard compatibility

Hi Thanks very much for the advice. I was considering the Asus Rampage IV Extreme mobo and, based on what you say, I gather this would be fine. I will also be using 32Gb of 1333MHz RAM, only because I have a very nice friend who can also provide this free. The only thing I now need to sort out...
