    I moved the last two bars on my sound eq down slightly and that got rid of the hiss.

    I have this same problem, but with the 3.5mm jack version. It's not a USB-only problem and is unlikely related to grounding because it only occurs in-game. No problem outside of applications/working at the desktop. It's not the mic.
