The Amazon link to the PB287Q links to the incorrect product, mistakenly leading me to believe that it was 399.99 USD. That's a huge difference in price which really sets a person's opinion on value...please fix.

I'm sure NVIDIA had something to say about it, but I'd *REALLY* like to see more 600 series cards in these benchmarks. Or any.

One thing I'll add here is that this news comes in along with Intel announcing mobile chips that are Operating-System Locked. Microsoft might give you the software, but the chip makers follow their orders and make sure you can't do *anything* with it.

Just as one additional aside: There is a Visiontek drive-bay PSU as well, which is cheaper, but it has been reviewed as HORRIBLY loud by hardocp , and has a bad reputation on the THG forums. FX.6000 series on AMD boards would be best, but the 4000s do okay so long as you're not playing Starcraft or Civ V at max. The Athlon 750, I believe, was what Tom's called the bottom for AMD gaming across all games.

Just as an aside, it's probably starting up, then loading the fan profile from the BIOS. That behavior is fairly normal on ASUS boards, as they have, sometimes, a fan curve that keeps the system as quiet as possible.

There's so little noticeable difference in those two that you might as well claim to have a 2400. You can measure a tiny difference between them, but it will never mean an appreciable amount of wait time for any task. So, Yeah. Be happy.
