Are you going to be doing lots of 3d renderings with revit? I don't know a lot about CA, but with revit you can honestly get by with a really cheap GPU, Revit doesn't use the GPU for really anything at all, it is all about individual thread performance. If you are planning on running revit...

And just an update, I tried the whole USB's on the front I/O instead of using the usbs on the back of the computer, and still no dice. It IS actually freezing right there. I've tried 2 different keyboards and finished swapping out sticks of memory and only found the one bad stick.

Alright, this is a brand new build and I went to install win 7 with my OEM win 7 pro 64 bit disk, so I set the bios to boot to dvd rom, inserted the disk, and saved changes and exited. Computer restarts, and goes into the black "loading windows files" screen and it goes through it just fine...
