What game is causing the issue? GPU, CPU intensive etc? It sounds like a heat problem. Are you monitoring temps (HWMonitor) at all? Also, have you tried stress testing gpu and cpu at the same time? Think P95 + Heaven.

What are your temps like? The FX series can normally be OC'd quite nicely. I have pushed my cinebench form 654 to way over 750 - and this has helped 'stutter' a lot. Also, make sure you have the latest gpu drivers installed. And no progs that suddenly start in the background, hogging resources?
