    Drivers load ok ? Have you tried deleting the drivers and reloading ? Try a different USB port ? The drivers could be conflicting with something , try looking in the event viewer to see if it recorded the freezing event.

    Your PSU was not able to draw the correct amount of voltage and amps it needs to function at it's rated level. Most likely it damaged the PSU circuitry but not the components in your system , they were just underpowered and unable to function.
