So I probably ordered a passive adapter? Damn. Ok, I'll need to find an active one. But there is still the question, why is the vga on my mobo not working either? Is it because the cpu thinks that, when the gpu is installed, there needs to be a monitor connected?

That's why I bought this adapter. The card has no output for vga. The adapter has a male display port and a female vga.

Ok thanks! Yeah, the rx470, especially the overclocked one from Saphhire is pretty good, and almost as good as a rx480. The 570s are at the moment not avaible with 8GB of VRAM, so I will just wait some more time and look which cards will be coming out soon. Thanks!
