I have happily settled on this suggestion and purchased these. Thank you so much for your insight guys! After a little bit of research I found that this motherboard, when using an X3D processor, needs to have its BIOS updated. I have never done this but by the looks of it it seems fairly...

    Build Advice Upgrade/New Build

I believe I am planning to settle on upgrading to AMD with the new Mobo and the DDR5s, as it is quite future safe as well and probably money well-spent for the future (tho if im gonna upgrade this it'll just be the GPU hahaha) The choice being the 7800X3D is clear and the price points right now...

Question Entirety of RAM is not used?

This is what each RAM stick plugged into Slot 4 on their own look like right after startup. Doesn't look like they're damaged to me or are they? idk why but for some reason half the RAM is usually always occupied.

Question Entirety of RAM is not used?

I plugged them into slots 2 and 4 (slot 4 being the one furthest from the CPU), which seemed right according to the motherboard manual. Did I misinterpret the labeling perhaps?

Hey again, my parts arrived and I have just installed everything etc. Now I ran into some issues.. is it true that the i5-12400F cannot be overclocked with the motherboard I now own? (Gigabyte B660 Gaming X DDR4) I bought the CPU thinking I could reach the shown clock speed of 4.4 GHz easily...

[SOLVED] Possible to overclock this? (Gigabyte B660 Gaming X DDR4, i5-12400F)

I used a i5-9600k overclocked to 4.9 GHz before this one. Now that I can't overclock this new one, is this one still better than my old overclocked one? I'm worried I made a purchase mistake.
