what do you think? cant decide

That's correct. He will just be using it to decode / stream online feeds. A gpu is not needed for that, as iGPU's are more than enough.

what do you think? cant decide

I personally like the NUC idea, except I personally would go with this one here: http://www.amazon.com/Intel-Next-Computing-Thunderbolt-i3-3217UDC3217BY/dp/B0093LINT2 And put the 4GB and the 30GB mSATA drive with the bluetooth dongle in it. That will give you a little more horsepower, and last...

    Video ram needed?

That's what it is just detecting it as, it's probably a bug. The way the Intel Graphics work, is it borrows from the system RAM.

    Video ram needed?

Yes, you will definitely be able to run it. However you will be limited to probably around medium graphic settings unless you have a dedicated GPU.

Z87X-UD7 TH or MAXIMUS VI Formula?

If you aren't going 4-way SLI, I think the cooler on the formula is better, and you can always get an add-on thunderbolt card if you want / need one in the future.

Z87X-UD7 TH or MAXIMUS VI Formula?

In regards to overclocking they are both very similar. They both have the same power phases, as well as VRM Circuitry. The Formula adds the option to put a custom loop watercooler on the MB without pulling the heatsink off, and replacing it. But I don't know if you will use that. The Extreme...

    Computer build for FSX

That would be more than enough to run it maxed out :)

    Computer build for FSX

I would follow this build, and drop 1 of the GTX770's and upgrade the i5 to an i7. That will definitely come in under your budget, and will easily handle anything you throw at it, and FSX maxed out. http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/build-your-own-geforce-gtx-770-sli,3709.html

    Computer Upgrade Questions

It won't affect overclocking the GPU, just the CPU.

    Computer Upgrade Questions

Your processor should be able to keep up without much of a problem, and in the future if you are worried about it, you can upgrade the MB / CPU at that time. For now you should be fine. Limits (other than SLI) currently would just be the ability to overclock. Neither your MB or CPU support it...

    Computer Upgrade Questions

Question 1. Most OEM Motherboards (Dell, Acer, HP, Etc.....) are Mini-ATX, and will fit in any standard aftermarket case, excluding Micro-ATX cases (which I doubt you are looking at, since you are looking to go bigger :) Question 2: Judging from the picture of the inside of your case, you...

Using over the original amount of RAM

Oops, I missed that. I didn't even look up the hardware since it was running Win 8. My mistake. As Eximo mentioned, that is the max your motherboard will support. (4GB)

Using over the original amount of RAM

Yes, with a 64 bit Operating System, the computer will be able to address up to the maximum amount that the hardware supports. More than likely 32GB.
