Also, I've just had it suggested to me that I check for bent CPU socket pins. Hopefully that's not the case....

As in, pins on the mobo that go into the CPU? Hmm, I hadn't considered that. I'll take the CPU out and have a look if I can't fix the problem through the BIOS and Asrock aren't any help.

I don't think my CPU has traditional "pins" as such - just contacts. I was also pretty careful about putting it in correctly too. Thanks tho.
