Question What could've caused this bend?

Hey everyone! I recently bought a used Gigabyte RX 6600. It was used for mining, but the seller said that the card had never been opened or tinkered with in any way, it was just mining as part of a mining rig. When I got it, I noticed that the PCB above the "radeon" writing was bent in a...

[SOLVED] Very specific question about ram mixing

Nothing changes in cpu-z if I enable xmp, all the values are exactly the same. Here you can see from the specification of my ram that JEDEC/PNP has the same values as XMP. https://ibb.co/yXgChnB

[SOLVED] Very specific question about ram mixing

It's Kingston HyperX RAM which doesn't need to have XMP turned on because it uses plug n play and determines the best timings out of the box. However, I have a question: CPU-z already shows command rate of 2T even with only 2 sticks of ram, is this normal or not? Everything is set to AUTO in bios.

[SOLVED] Very specific question about ram mixing

I have quite a specific situation I want to ask about. My motherboard is gigabyte b250 hd3p. The RAM slots channels are (when looking from left to right) AABB, or DDR4-4, DDR4-2, DDR4-3, DDR4-1, with 4 AND 2 BEING CHANNEL A, and 3 AND 1 BEING CHANNEL B. I currently have 2x4gb sticks of...

[SOLVED] Changing BIOS settings after replacing RAM?

Hello everyone, I'd like to ask the following: if I replace my single stick of ram with two sticks of ram, do I need to make any changes to the BIOS settings? Do I need to load defaults in BIOS, or maybe change some settings in the memory section? My motherboard is Gigabyte B250 hd3p. Thank...

    [SOLVED] System stability

The CX450 is a very good budget power supply, I have one myself, although keep in mind that it is not modular, you nees the cx450m version if you want modular cables. Ps. Samsungs cost as much as they do because of the 5 year warranty and brand, but I think that paying a bit more for a more...

    [SOLVED] System stability

Hey, I know this is a bit off-topic, but I HIGHLY recommend getting some other SSD, and not the Kingston a400 series, I've had a very bad experience recently with the 480GB version, the read speed was almost half the advertised, and a lot of other people have had problems with this Kingston SSD...

[SOLVED] Unplugging an USB while in BIOS?

So today I was formatting an SSD and HDD I have using a bootable WIN10 USB drive. When my system no longer had a drive with an operating system to boot to, I opened BIOS. While the BIOS was open, I unplugged the USB drive. When I went into the peripherals section, it displayed the USB drive as...

[SOLVED] Reduced SSD performance caused by a damaged PSU SATA cable?

Thank you very much, to the both of you! Just a question so I know for the future, since now I know that a power cable can't impact performance, can the SATA MOBO cable impact it, or is it the same (works or doesn't)?

[SOLVED] Reduced SSD performance caused by a damaged PSU SATA cable?

[SOLVED] Reduced SSD performance caused by a damaged PSU SATA cable?

Okay, so a few days ago I bought a new SSD. In order to be sure that I've properly connected the power supply SATA power cable and the motherboard SATA cable to the SSD, I connected them before inserting the SSD into the case. While I was inserting the SSD into the case, the power supply SATA...

    Shaking graphics card

Okay, so I have a Zotac GTX 1050 ti OC edition. It has 2 fans. Today I noticed that the furthest right part of the graphichs card is shaking a bit (like a small vibration), in comparison to the left part which is perfectly still. I wiggled it around a bit to see if it would go away, tried to...

Does my GPU work on a 1280x1024 as it would on a 1920x1080 monitor when I set the resolution to Full HD?

The title is pretty self explanatory, it's kind of a weird, perhaps dumb question. So basically, I have a GTX 1050ti and I currently have a 1280x1024 monitor. I want to check how my GPU would work on Full HD resolution, so, if I set the resolution to 1920x1080, even though it doesn't show up...

Touched the top of my GPU with metal while it was running

Okay, so basically, my PC was on and I (being the idiot I am) wanted to remove a metal panel above the back side of the GPU (the thing you pop out when you put in a GPU, a PCI express card etc) without turning the PC off first. What happened is that the metal panel thingy touched the top of my...
