I there any lag in games from this? If not then this seems fine! MY cpu is rated for 95 Watt and when I put a stress test on it uses anywhere from 40 watt to 85 watt which is not near my TDP. I believe it saves more power? But I haven't experienced any issues. Hope this helps :)
