Yea, I wish I knew more on this matter or could see the screen. As a few of my GPU's have died-and green screen and similar issues occurred as you described. I am pretty sure it is the GPU-but I would recommend getting it checked out-but not some namebrand store tech who is looking for money...

Not really, the prices of old ones will be of similar price of the new ones because new cards are rebranded. The same exact GPU in a new card. 280x=7950, 770=670. 780 is the Titan. Prices change due to bitcoin and litecoin miners messing up the market-which is why AMD prices are now over $100...
