Also, to the best of my knowledge, all windows 7 licenses will work with windows 10 outright (and in my experience), due to microsoft wanting everyone to get on the windows 10 wagon. Hope this helps. :)

Check your disc usage in task manager when you're playing. I've had issues with Windows 10 on laptops that have caused it to be at 99% consistently. Were you playing on the same server, there could have been network lag going on as well with packet loss.
