    [SOLVED] Are my fans dying?

That's just the CPU fan. The Case Fan's usual max is 2299 RPM. When I look into Bios, it's usually around 1100 RPM for both of them, give or take a few numbers EDIT: And now it's back up to 258 which is what I consider part of the normal range... So weird.

    [SOLVED] Are my fans dying?

I think they're stock fans because I purchased the computer at Best Buy (the computer itself is a Pavilion Desktop TP01-0xxx. As for the motherboard, it's HP 8653. The version of Windows 10 I'm on is 21H2. Yesterday, I ended up installing Synapse 3, but I doubt it has anything to do with the...

    [SOLVED] Are my fans dying?

So, I've been monitoring my fan activity for since I got this new desktop two years ago. Today I noticed that the CPU fan sticking to 255 RPM despite going as high as 262 RPM and I'm worried that this is a sign that my CPU fans are dying, as my CPU fan previously had to go to 300 RPM at least...

[SOLVED] Why is Automatic Maintenance consuming writes?

While that is true, when trying to sus out what's causing the writes, I left my computer idle earlier this morning and it jumped to about 15 Gigs. This suggests that if I let it do what it wants, I might be looking at it doing more writes in the future. It's never done this before and I suspect...

[SOLVED] Why is Automatic Maintenance consuming writes?

This: That what I assume, but I've been religiously updating my computer every Patch Tuesday on the Patch Tuesday. My theory is that the maintenance defrags the SSD (yes, defrags and not trims) and that might be the issue. I took the liberty of disabling it via registry editor and it seems...

[SOLVED] Why is Automatic Maintenance consuming writes?

So, I noticed this when I left my computer alone for a while that it bumped up by thirty gigabytes in writes and only stopped when I got back. I looked and saw one of the major culprits is the Automatic Maintenance. It's never done this before where Automatic Maintenance ends up writing to the...

[SOLVED] Should I undo a system restore that had failed, even if the computer is running normally?

Me neither. I mostly leave them in case things go absolutely awry and I have no idea how to approach the situation.

[SOLVED] Should I undo a system restore that had failed, even if the computer is running normally?

Alright. It'll automatically make a new one next Tuesday due to Patch Tuesday, so that'll work out.

[SOLVED] Should I undo a system restore that had failed, even if the computer is running normally?

So, I had a system restore yesterday (wanted to undo a change that BitDefender made, which I later managed to do in the registry) that failed due to BitDefender or some other program, but the system seems to be running normally. Still, there's the offer to undo the system restore. Should I go...

[SOLVED] Is it safe to manually delete the ThumbCacheToDelete folder via putting it in the recycle bin?

Just a random question because I had noticed that my Thumbnail Cache had moved to this new folder called ThumbCacheToDelete. Would there be any negative repercussions to my hard drive (i.e. the deleted files become phantom data) if I were to manually delete it instead of having it be deleted...

[SOLVED] Is it normal for the SSD's life to decline like this?

It's been a while since I posted on here about this issue. My SSD went down another percent since the last time I discussed this. To briefly recap: I still have 8GB of RAM*, have the paging file on the "Let Windows Decide" option since I feel more comfortable with that, and rerouting the I/O...
