    You might want to disable the option in Chrome "use hardware acceleration when available" This can keep your CPU and GPU at a good temperature. Also, 40°C is normal, so sit back and chill.

    Under load, my i5 8600k is at ~50°C. I am overclocking at 5 Ghz. Normal temps under this overclocking for idle is ~30°C.

    I had the same problem but I fixed it by plugging in another monitor.
