I haven’t been on the forum long, but I enjoyed reading your GPU reviews. It’s sad to say farewell. Will you still be on the Forum, or will you be going away from it completely?

So you can still run games on a card that doesn’t have display outputs, but how does that work? I can’t imagine these are designed to work with windows, let alone games.

So, what’s the highest amount of VRAM you could get on a GPU that can run games? The MI325x doesn’t have display outputs, and I don’t think it supports directx either.

I’m skeptical of the 5070s claim of parity with the 4090. Especially because of the slide that seemed to show the 5070 going from 27fps native with full rt to 230 fps with dlss 4.

It would help some, though, right? Correct me if I’m wrong, but wasn’t more cache a big part of the performance uplift from amphere to Lovelace?

I’m so confused as to why AMD would reduce the base and boost clocks of these new CPUs. I mean, looking back, besides the IPC improvements going from zen 3 to zen 4, the main improvements seemed to be higher base and boost clocks. With zen 5, it doesn’t seem like we’re getting much improvement...

You won’t get perfect blacks with mini led, but with enough local dimming zones, you can get close. I have a mini led monitor, and the brightness is amazing. 1000 nits in hdr.

I agree 1000%. Stupid that it’s going to get to a point (at this rate) where people in the us can’t use more power hungry components.

I’ve known that DDR5 was dual channel, but I was wondering if you could use a single stick of DDR5 and be fine in gaming performance. I know you shouldn’t, but I’m just wondering what would happen if you did.

For me, auto hdr, is why I went with windows 11. I haven’t had any issues with windows 11, so I don’t really understand why it’s such a big deal.

would a DRAM cache improve file decompression speeds? I have a 7700x, and a 980 pro 2tb, and cinebench r23 takes a bit of time to decompress.
