Should I just get an ATX case so I can get an ATX motherboard? If so, I'm open to some suggestions and feedback on my case.

First, I am looking to get better frames on newer AAA games. I'm also starting to some 3D animation and game dev and record and possibly stream that.
I don't have much workspace and don't need fancy RGB setups, just a capable machine that can do heavier load.
I'm looking to upgrade my mobo and possibly my CPU and RAM will follow suit. Can anyone help with suggestions and point me in the right direction as I am not sure of compatibility and performance? I play games like R6 Siege, Hogwarts Legacy, Baldurs Gate 3, Path of Exile, and emulations too...
