    [SOLVED] Photo-Editing Monitor Recommendations Requested

Hi, I recently built a new system to run advanced technical image editing software. I am currently (temporarily) using a 15 year old 1920x1200 60Hz monitor I still had on hand. The new monitor will be used for generating and editing images derived from large amounts of raw data. I do not...

    [SOLVED] New PC build BSODs

This new symptom is still pointing to unstable hardware in my opinion. The problem is "which hardware is unstable?" Are you booting to a USB Windows installation media? Does the boot seem solid or does it never really start due to BSODs? Have you tried unplugging the power supply, removing the...

    [SOLVED] New PC build BSODs

This latest error feels rather random to me like the BSODs. I am not seeing anything that points to one specific cause for all this. After cleaning up the display adapter driver once again, I might suggest the Microsoft system file clean-up first before a wipe and full reinstall. It will be...

    [SOLVED] New PC build BSODs

The only thing I might have done differently is to load just the NVIDIA device drivers from their site rather than the version from the OEM. In addition, I try to load just the device driver itself and not the whole "Experience" suite of bloated software. (That is just a personal preference for...

    [SOLVED] New PC build BSODs

Sorry, I am mostly out of ideas. The only things I can think of that are left are the same old suggestions to check drivers and BIOS levels. I don't like messing with those things myself since they can lead to lots of extra work if things go wrong. You might try first checking you graphics card...

    [SOLVED] New PC build BSODs

Since those Blue-Screens are all over the place and seemingly random, I might suspect DRAM first. It could be on the hairy edge of not running. You can start debugging this by running either MemTest86 or the built in Windows Memory Test (or both if you wish). That should detect whether DRAM...

[SOLVED] I have an ASUS Maximux IX Hero MB. It will not boot to BIOS HELP!!!

According to the User Manual for your motherboard, it does support the BIOS Flashback Feature. The manual has instructions outlined on page 2-13. In essence, you download the new BIOS from Asus, put it on a USB stick (after renaming it), put the USB into the lower left port on the MB...

[SOLVED] Computer turns off a few minutes of being on, does it in the bios and while trying to install windows.

I think that should fix it. Remove the cooler, clean off the old paste thoroughly and reapply the proper amount per instructions. Also make sure the cooler fan is running smoothly and not bogged down. With the CPU running at 100°C, it is no wonder it shut down due to thermal overload.

[SOLVED] Computer turns off a few minutes of being on, does it in the bios and while trying to install windows.

To me, this sounds more like it may be thermally related. You did not mention the CPU cooler and its installation. Did he reuse the cooler for the CPU chip when you gave him the parts? Did he clean the old thermal paste off and apply fresh? Did he use the proper amount? Often, when the system...

Question No Video on Normal Windows Boot

There is still no joy... I tried a few more things and have not found a solution to the dark screen on a normal (slow) boot. I tried disabling all services using msconfig.exe. I also disabled all start-up programs. (Windows automatically re-enables some critical services when you use the option...

Question No Video on Normal Windows Boot

I have tried all of your suggestions. There is no change in the behavior. Here is what I did: I downloaded and installed a new version of the AMD X570 chipset drivers. (Not on your list but I noticed a new version available.) Restarted. (Dark screen as before. Windows HotKey combination...
