    confused about phanteks evolv ATX

Hi I build a gaming rig about a year ago with this case, and i can 100% vouch for it. Best case i ever owned. It's such a joy to open up and work with, very easy access to all components. It's a Asus Z170-deluxe mobo, with a i7-6700k cpu and a beQuiet fan. I'm not an airflow expert, but i can...

    Recording noise with microphone unplugged

What kinda soundcard do you have? if its onboard it's pretty common. Also, if you use front headphone jack on your cabinet, chances for noise is higher. I don't think your mic is in listen mode, you can check that in audio settings. I'm not sure about this, but if memory serves me well, the AC97...

    Clock watchdog timeout

Wut? they ask you to send the HDD or the whole pc? I'm confused about your no period specs... It seems to be a CPU issue for sure, read https://www.reviversoft.com/blog/2013/01/clock-watchdog-timeout/ "Simply put, it’s your processor. Or, as you often hear it referred to, your CPU. The...

    Screen flickering pink

Thats a good first clue, we are narrowing it down. Your onboard gfx might send a slightly different signal - like low res bios, hence less glithces. You should still try other ports on your monitor. If its your DVI port on it thats broken, HDMI or DP might work fine and vice versa.

    Network problems - help!

Winxp will have problems with vista/win7+ workgroups. Dunno the details, but out of the box they don't like eachother. Maybe switch out winxp completely as it already poses a security risk anyway being unsupported and all. The fact that it works for a little while, and then stops is a cause for...

    Chassis intruded. Fatal error

Hello I don't think that motherboard has any chassis jumpers. Looked through the manual, and no mention in the jumpers section. I always thought of this like an more exotic feature, mostly found in OEM pc's. Out of curiosity, why do you need this feature if its a "build for fun" pc?

    Screen flickering pink

Hello Something hardware related is happening, it's not your drivers. The bios runs in a low resolution, and this can be why it's not as glitchy. At least 3 scenarios can be happening here. 1. Bad cable or ports. Try all your monitor inputs, different cables (and different types too, ie. HDMI...

    Network problems - help!

Not sure i can help, but here is some brainstorming. Is everything else network related working fine? Can you type in pc name or ipadress in address bar and access networked pc's that way?, if not can you ping them? Are the pc's stating they are in the actual workgroup?, and is the workgroup...

Same mail inboxes on 2 pc's

Thanks for your answer! But it must be possibre! :) What if the server handled it all? that was the thought - to run it through there somehow. No need to set up pop3 on the clients, but let the server do that and have a shared inbox of some sorts... Alternately - but i'd rather not do this - i...

Laptop lags when two external monitors are connected

Hmmm you have a laptop, so it's the same graphics card, I was assuming you had a desktop pc apparently :D totally my bad! So never mind what i wrote, its not relevant to a laptop. However can you answer me if your display works when only using USB-c? Those are cheap cables, but they are not...

Laptop lags when two external monitors are connected

I'm no expert, but i'm pretty sure if you plug a display in a USB-c port, it just forward the information to your motherboard/pcie bus. As i understand it, usb-c can use "HDMI or DP alternate mode", but which graphics controller they are linked to i don't know. Maybe it's linked to onboard...

Computer hangs when there is high download speed

Hi I've had a similar problem. It's a long-shot, but it might be your harddrive - it was in my case. My pc boot time got a bit slower recently, and downloads start fine, but keep coming back to 0 kb/sec. I found out that my hard-drive is faulty. I can still use it, but it has some big troubles...

DVI to 2 x VGA splitter

Wow what a weird GFX, never seen that, not even heard of that connector type before. It's a old card, i'm thinking maybe win10 use some stock driver. Are you able to get a new driver from nvidia? Seems like this card is shipped with new pc's from dell hp and lenovo, this leaves me to believe...
