Review AOC CQ32G2S 165 Hz Gaming Monitor Review: A Lot of Screen and Performance for the Money

Been using this one for a year now, it's great for the price. The only downsides are very infrequent flicker around 75Hz/fps when using Adaptive Sync, and black-level smearing even on the Strong Overdrive setting. The curve is a little too pronounced IMO, and I think 1800R would've been perfect.

10 Modern, Mainstream GPUs And Ryzen: Can They Play Crysis?

Just a correction: Crysis was one of the first games WITH Ambient Occlusion. There isn't an option to enable or disable it in the settings, but it is there on High and Very High. You can tweak its darkness and radius with cvars.

    Screen tearing issues

Adaptive Vsync doesn't always work as well as Nvidia advertises. Basically, if there's any hint that the next few frames could possibly drop below 60fps, the driver will switch Vsync off to avoid a possible stutter, and you'll see tearing. You should be good to go with a GTX 1080 on a 60Hz...

    Best Anti Virus/Malware program?

MalwareBytes and Avast! have done great for me on Windows 7. Windows Defender and MBAM work great for me on Windows 10. Advanced System Care package is nice, but performance improvements are undetectable to me - and I don't trust software from China... Piriform's tools are best IMO.

See if you can find an R9 290 with an aftermarket cooler, and if not, I'd wait for the GTX 960 Ti
