Please help, ok this is really stupid of me but I went to go clean my thermal paste and put a new layer on, I plugged my computer but I forgot to plug in my cpu fan, now whenever I go to turn on my computer it starts beeping and shuts off what do I do?

I have the exact same processor and I bought the computer from a flea market for $275, but I didn't know that the processor was old... I found out that the processor costs more than what I payed for the computer and I was wondering, if I wanted to get better parts what should I look for?
