Question GPU One Fan Stuck at 100%

I haven't had that chance just yet because of unexpected work. But Once I get that chance, I'll figure out where the fault is and fix it. Thank you for the help!

Question GPU One Fan Stuck at 100%

Sorry for being away for a bit. I did all of that actually, right away. The fan went to normal for a few days, but just a few hours ago began doing this again. I think it hits a certain temperature, then, once it cools off, thinks it needs max for some reason (even though the sensors read low 30s)

Question GPU One Fan Stuck at 100%

Not for a few days, again, sadly. I just sold my old one since this one had seemed stable these last few weeks.

Question GPU One Fan Stuck at 100%

Not for a few days, sadly. If it was related to the enclosure, wouldn't I have experienced something like this before yesterday?

Question GPU One Fan Stuck at 100%

I've had an RTX 2080 Ti Fe for a few weeks now in an eGPU enclosure. It's been running amazingly until yesterday. After downloading and trying Metro Exodus for its RTX features, one of the GPU fans went up to 100% and stayed there, even when all temperature sensors read it as being in the low...

Question Dell S2417DG Monitor flickering When Set Above 120hz

Sorry, bad wording. It's got the 1050. If I'm remembering correctly though, it's been explained to me that the 1050 will send data to the integrated GPU even with external displays. That's what I was referring to there. I've done that once, with no change. I can attempt it again though...

Question Dell S2417DG Monitor flickering When Set Above 120hz

The monitor doesn't show in Nvidia's control panel. It shows in the Intel one, however. I've tried setting to the max refresh rate through Windows and through Intel Control Panel. No luck either way, flickering after 120hz. Overclocked, on other computers, it's running perfect.

Question Dell S2417DG Monitor flickering When Set Above 120hz

So, I'm running a Dell S2417DG display with my XPS 15 9560 on Windows 10 (latest build, non-insider). My display works perfectly when it's at 120hz or below, but running at 144 or above causes extreme flickering. I've tested the monitor and displayport cable with other PCs and have no issues...

Question What M.2 type SSD should I buy?

Budget and size would be the biggest discrening factors (other than the difference between SATA and NVMe). If budget is more your concern, you can get the 960 for cheaper, and with more space. If raw speed is a concern (depends on what type of world and use case you need), go with the 970 or the...

Question What M.2 type SSD should I buy?

I don't want to derail this thread too much, but that search mainly turns up other drives and not the one that was mentioned. The only posts mentioning the pro variant are users who are getting slow speeds with smaller drives--something that happens even with Samsung. As for the performance...

Question What M.2 type SSD should I buy?

What's the issue with these drives? I can't find many threads about it. Mine's fine but is only slightly slower than it was initially. (From 3200 R down to 2900 R)

Question Thermal Pad Oil on SSD?

Thanks for the help! I'll be sure to keep the thermal pad then.

Question Thermal Pad Oil on SSD?

So, weird question, but I noticed that the factory thermal pad placed over the NVMe slot (Dell XPS 9560 laptop) is surrounded by an oil-like substance. Since I'm upgrading to a brand new SSD, I want to make sure that this is completely safe for it. The SSD that is currently in the XPS has the...
