My CPU never goes to 4.45Ghz. The most I’ve seen it is 4.325Ghz nothing higher. I’m leaving it as it is, if it was 90 degrees at all times I’d do something but this is the new norm so I’ve accepted that and just going to leave it.

How do I know if it’s throttling? It will always go from 4.1 to 4.25GHZ when it’s running hot, is that thermal throttling?

I think I’m going to switch out my AIO to a newer model as I’ve had this one for three years and clearly isn’t helping taming the beast.

Would you say possibly buying a new water cooler as I’ve had this AIO for around 3 years now, and maybe it’s not performing to spec?

I’ve seen this a lot but it’s just the fact that I have to open PB02 every time I start my PC up. In your opinion do you think I should do something to lower the temperatures, or do I leave it as it’s nothing to concerning?

I’m confused on how his temperatures are so low. Maybe it’s an issue with the CPU I received? It’s things like that what get me paranoid and worried to why mine isn’t getting the same result.

So what would you suggest I do? I’ve tried reapplying the paste. Exactly the same temperatures. I’m running Cinebench as we speak and I’m hitting 90 degrees 3 minutes in.

88W and 4.325Ghz.

I think the ambient temp took a big part as now I only get from 83-85 degrees max but when I play Battlefield 2042 in 4K, ultra preset it's putting a lot of stress on my CPU and getting around 81-83 degrees.

SYY Thermal Paste, 2g is the thermal I've used. I've remounted it twice. I can't give a temperature for the pipes individually but the pump temperature is normally 39-40 degrees when under load.

When it’s hitting 90 degrees the CPU is still running at 4.3GHZ. I went into the motherboard and turned off the boost, running at 3.4GHZ and temps don’t go past 60 degrees under full load but I’m losing a lot of performance.

I totally agree. I know the chip is a hot chip anyway with the extra layer of 3D cache. I'm only maxing it to 86 degrees when on full load which isn't ever going to happen in gaming. I have a 4090 too which as you can imagine, with the shear size of it, the inside of the case is going to run...

I had a look in iCue and the pump was on balanced, so I put it on extreme. Idle temps have improved to a steady 45-48. I ran Cinebench R23 for 10 minutes, CPU maxed to 86 degrees. I'm happy with the result.
