Hello I have a i7 4790 3.6ghz 16gb ram of ddr3 and gtx 1080 ti I use a 3440 x 1440p gaming monitor do you think any of this needs to be upgraded or am I good for the next few years ?

so i wouldnt have to add water or anything at all with that cpu cooler? would u suggest that or a 100$ fan to go on cpu

true sucks i have to replace ram/mobo just to buy a high end cpu but hey ill just try it.. if i upgrade to ddr4 ram/new mobo/8700k cpu i might just get what i want in my fps who knows. might not need to buy another gpu after we will see.

also do i need water cooling for that 8700k??

so what would be the better end mobo to buy for that chip? and i have a founders edition of the 1080 ti should i sell that and buy 2 aftermarket cards or just buy another founders?

oh ok thanks for the info natx808. so if i was going to just say screw it and buy the best for gaming for my sli what would be the better choice here i7 7700k/i7 7740x/ or i7 7820x? also the mobo aswell? i have a black/blue case i would like to keep it in that color range.

so you think the i7 4790k 4.0 ghz boost up to 4.4ghz would make a big impact on my fps? i wouldnt mind buying a different one even higher but i would have to re build a whole PC for that. or you think if i was to upgrade just go ahead and buy a new mobo and a 8700k?

actually ive never hit 100fps in a single game with my setup. farthest ive gotton was like 90 in destiny 2.

yeah thats why i decided to buy a i7 4790K its boosted up to 4.4GHZ and only 400$ also will work with all of my current specs.

okay so guys real quick sense you all said my setup will work say i upgraded to i7 7700k cpu instead of staying with i7 4790 how many more fps would i gain ? any idea or just stick with the i7 i have now

well i play all my games fine its just i like playing high demanding games like the grass in gta v will bring me down to 40s in the city i can go as far as 80fps. but stays around 65-70. on this kingdom come deliverance game is un optimized AF so im 30fps-50. witcher 3 im like 65-70 no problem...

i never hit 100 honestly in most games im around 60-80ish but on kingdom come deliverance fps is in the 40s. gta v i go from 50-60ish thats why i want to sli because this res is nice but not enough power for 1 card.

i think ill just get another gpu lol. but you think ill be getting the most out of the gpu with a 4790? cause i really dont feel like re buying another mobo/ram etc etc also it does support sli says it on the board.
