Not sure if anyone is still following this but I thought I'd give everyone an update. After switching over to the Z97 and 4790k, my fps on a SINGLE card (keep in mind this is 1440p) is now avg of 90 with everything maxed. I haven't been able to try SLI yet due to a problem with one of the PCIe...
