News Asus ROG Crosshair X870E Apex is available for pre-order on Newegg — Launches April 4 at $749

Sounds great and looks really good. That price point is pretty spicy. Although some boards are topping over $1000 which just feels painful. Like everything involved in PC building is just growing in price and that's both sad and disappointing.

News Micron shows off world's fastest PCIe 6.0 SSD, hitting 27 GB/s speeds — Astera Labs PCIe 6.0 switch enables impressive sequential reads

All for the newer and faster drives BUT we are only now starting to see consumer 8TB models that are PCIe4 and they are pretty expensive. It does feel like we are skipping a few steps. Will we be seeing PCIe8 before we start seeing 16TB at $200-$300?

AMD RDNA 4 and Radeon RX 9000-series GPUs: Specifications, release date, pricing, and more revealed

Yeah, the frustration of this has been going on for years now. I can understand here and there but the consistency of this every cycle is just annoying. The companies are definitely aware of it but they have only done so much. Lots of patience and not giving up entirely does pay off at least...

AMD RDNA 4 and Radeon RX 9000-series GPUs: Specifications, release date, pricing, and more revealed

I am confident they do have some stock in place at retailers but looking at the time frame with Chinese new year, inventory availability from Nvidia and Intel (B580 released back in December and still out of stock minus the upcharged prices from others) this could be a one off day where...

AMD RDNA 4 and Radeon RX 9000-series GPUs: Specifications, release date, pricing, and more revealed

I see lots of celebrating for this and sure. Did they mention stock and availability? Pricing on a PowerPoint only means so much if you can't find it and AiBs uncharge it. Still should wait and see the actual rollout.

News RTX 5070 Ti manufacturing defect cuts performance by up to 10% — 88 ROPs vs 96 ROPs (design)

Every day seems like something new with Nvidia. I think using term "AI" every other sentence really got in the way of quality. Now we just wait to see what AMD is going to do because at some point, something has to work in the favor of the consumer with all these shenanigans. Ooof.

News Asus continues fragrant device trend with an aromatic mouse

Well if we can't get cheaper storage or better gpu availability, let's just toss in some gain scented peripherals and call it. I do enjoy the trash bags that have the scent so why not my mouse 🤷‍♂️ Asus/Sephora crossover event coming soon. Add a fortnight skin and boom! You are in it.

News Meta defends using pirated material, claims it's legal if you don't seed content

Not a company doing something they probably should not be doing. It's only the 15 year old downloading Metallica that catch any grief. Seems like a non issue that will matter because nothing will be done anyway.

News Nvidia RTX 5050, 5060, and 5060 Ti surface in Zotac EEC filings

I can just picture the office meetings about these GPUs. Employee 1 - Let's just make GPUs that are even worse than what we have just put out. These cards will then make the 5080s and 5090s seem like pure magic. Boss - That sounds like a great idea. The people will love it! Wah wah wahhh :(

News AMD announces RX 9000 event on February 28, shoots down rumors of 32GB model

This is not a terrible thing. Prices are already bananas at the current levels. Let's just keep trying to bring these prices down to the earth realm. 😬

News Nvidia confirms RTX 50-series laptops will be available for pre-order starting February 25

Oh good. 🤷‍♂️ I guess after the these are available and you release all 7 of these laptops you can make another supply drop of GPUS. 😄

News Newegg blames tariffs for RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 price hikes

Oh good, another lottery from Newegg. Got my 6700XT Sapphire Nitro+ for $900 back in 2021. The real bonus was having to also buy some random PSU to go with it for, I don't know, science? It's like being in a funky time warp and it's just not as fun as the movies or drugs make it out to be. Let's...

News Asus and MSI hike RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 GPU prices by up to 18%

I thought covid was pretty bad with getting a GPU. I guess it was just a pretty bad time so far. The real measure will be how much availability will we see upon the AMD release. If Intel, Nvidia, and AMD can't keep products on the shelf, prices just won't come down. That is heartbreaking and...

News AMD CEO confirms the RX 9070 series will arrive in early March — Promises 4K mainstream gaming

Graphs and charts are all well and good but the real question for me will be supply. Readily available at MSRP would be pretty big
