OS Ubuntu 15.04 my desktop OS Windows HPServerLX I just received this device from a friend and I know nothing about it: size, partitions, etc. My network can see folders on it, but I want to convert it to ext4 fs and use it as a storage device. Thanks in advance for help!

UPDATE: No crashes since BIOS update (see above). Whether streaming from XBMC, youtube, spotifiy or pandora, system has been running without any hiccups, stutters or failings of any kind for 2 days. For now, at least, I will consider this issue solved.

I updated the BIOS from version 5107 to 6202. Since the update, the system has not crashed. Perhaps it was a BIOS issue; will have to see what happens over the next week or so.

[SOLVED] Turns out that system pins on motherboard were not attached appropriately. Specifically, PLED+. Once set correctly, system booted without a problem.
