So Spatial sound is the (virtual surround sound) as its advertised in many high quality headsets?

I have in the windows sound icon a spatial sound tab and has Windows Sonic and DTS x, can someone explain what is the difference between spatial and surround sound and how to enable it

Which headset type is best suited for best sound quality USB or 3.5mm? Also do I really need to get an (amp) and (dac) to really get the most out of the headset sound quality or just buy a high quality headset? Sorry I'm new in this field I have few follow up questions.
