Question CPU Tower Air Cooler noise

Indeed I was looking for a static pressure fan, but they're rather hard to find and even more expensive, so I was thinking about settling for a middle ground. Wouldn't the Corsair ML120/ML140 Pro fit that role?

Question CPU Tower Air Cooler noise

It's the Gammaxx 400 V2 fan. I'd also have to pay shipping for any fan I'd buy. Warranty here demands the manufacturer to cover all costs. Only exception would be if they deemed the product had no defects or if you had broken it. I'd have contact them directly, but I imagine they'll ask...

Question CPU Tower Air Cooler noise

Oh it is worth a new fan. I bought this cooler specifically because my Intel stock cooler was failing. I didn't buy it just so I'd need to buy a new fan. I also am saving to buy a fan to add to the case. I wouldn't think about having to buy 2. Could as well have saved the cooler money...

Question CPU Tower Air Cooler noise

Perhaps the recording didn't manage to capture the sound, only the sound of the fan then. It is a subtle sound, a sound that I've never heard any fan do before, not even stock CPU fans, that's why I made the thread to know if I'd need to RMA it. If you set the fan to silent in the BIOS for...

Question CPU Tower Air Cooler noise

No, the sound itself. You have the wind sound and that noise. It is present in all speed presets, but it gets the most noticeable the more you increase the speed. As I mentioned, I tried a normal case fan and there didn't seem to be any noise, but the cooler fan didn't make any noise once...

Question CPU Tower Air Cooler noise

Will no one help me? Should I rather ask in a different category in the forums? Perhaps the noise isn't as clear to hear as I had imagined in the recording. In any case, here's the update, in case someone happens to be in a similar situation I have removed the fan from the...

[SOLVED] Stupid question regarding airflow in case

I was in a similar situation and my father made me feel somewhat dumb when he pointed out I could just approach a piece of paper near the mesh and see if the wind would attract or repel it... and it worked.

Question CPU Tower Air Cooler noise

[SOLVED] "UEFI defaults have been loaded" after PC reassembly ?

I sincerely hope that is the case. The hardware is the same and I could be wrong but I believe I have reseated the RAM in same slots they were. The battery could also have somehow lost contact during the process. I've taken a look at the manual and the CLRCMOS is right next to the SATA...

[SOLVED] "UEFI defaults have been loaded" after PC reassembly ?

I've disassembled the PC, assembled it in a new case, disassembled again, assembled in the old case, disassembled again, assembled, disassembled again and reassembled in the new case again. I had no issues up to the last part, when I got the message "UEFI defaults have been loaded". The time...

[SOLVED] Are modern cases high humidity/corrosion resistant?

The window view leads to a wall, so the sun can't get in. I was interested in UV lights and hoping they'd not be expensive. The problem with the airflow is that big spiders use any openings to get inside. They're the only thing worse than the humidity.

[SOLVED] Are modern cases high humidity/corrosion resistant?

Oh good to know thanks. I'll take a look. May also be helpful in an environment with less humidity.

[SOLVED] Do I buy a new CPU or do I wait?

Thank you for answering my questions. Chips are getting hotter. I didn't notice this because I thought it would follow the same pattern as graphics cards getting cooler with Nvidia's 10th generation (and drawing less power). So I believe I'll most likely need a better cooler for anything...
