1440p Ultrawide HDR Gsync monitors (Predator X35, ROG Swift PG35VQ, AU Optronics)

No mention of the panels in AU Optronics' Q1/Q2 earnings calls (though some talk of a focus on premium high end gaming panels) and nothing from Acer's IFA 2018 (Berlin) announcements so far, despite releasing at least 2 new monitors...

1440p Ultrawide HDR Gsync monitors (Predator X35, ROG Swift PG35VQ, AU Optronics)

So I've been following the development of these monitors for nearly two years now. Prototypes have shown up at various trade shows around the world, and I seem to recall that the original release date for the products were in Q1/Q2 2018. We are now well in to Q3 and news on the monitors has...

Should I upgrade specs for 2080ti?

Oh...and don't go beyond about 1.400mv unless you're really comfortable with what you're doing. You will probably be fine at this level, but that's where most of these chips start to get very hot...would not be good for longevity. Should I upgrade specs for 2080ti?

Though we cannot be sure, I'd be surprised if the 4790k would bottleneck any GPU if you're running at 4k in modern games with high/ultra settings... especially if you're locked at 60fps. I think it'd be premature to get a new CPU/mobo/ram ahead of actually field testing the 2080ti. If you're...

Should I upgrade specs for 2080ti?

I'm running an i7 4790k o/c to 4.6ghz across all cores with a GTX 1080 at 1080p, and I run in to CPU bottlenecks on occasion at high frame rates. Depends on the game engine and level of detail...games like Assassin's Creed Origins and Watchdogs 2 become heavily CPU bottlenecked in areas where...
