If I were you, I would go with an intel CPU like a 4690k or something along those lines. Intel CPU's will last a good 3-5 years in terms of gaming capability.

680 will hold down the fort till you can get another one, hands-down

i would have gone with two 680's in SLI, won't be able to beat that with a 690 or a Titan, but you might be able to beat it with 3 x GTX 660Ti's...
