I have already tried completely removing the drivers to no avail. And I have Windows 7 installed on this machine currently.

Oh I forgot to put specs, my sound card is a Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme and my GPU is a GTX 560Ti. To clarify, the sound card works perfectly so long as I use DVI or VGA for the video input, but as soon as I switch to HDMI no sound works at all until I begin using Nvidia's hd audio.
