What about CUDA Cores? Don't they do a bit of calculating when it comes to rendering? The R9 290 has 2500ish and the 970 has 1664... I have been doing some reading and think i'll go with the gtx 970. http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/high_end_gpus.html
