Review Espresso Displays 15 Pro portable monitor review: Bright and colorful with 4K charm

Do you really even need 4K at that size? Can one tell the difference between it and 1080p?

AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D vs Intel Core Ultra 9 285K Faceoff

I've always been an Intel CPU guy...until I saw the 285k...what a disappointment. I almost had to do a full upgrade this year, but luckily I got my PC working again. Good ole Haswell-E 5960x CPU and my ASUS Rampage V Extreme Mobo, still kickin'. They're gonna have to pry my cold dead hands...

News PCIe 6.0 moves closer to arriving in the market in 2024: Alphawave demonstrates interoperability

Because we need an excuse to play horribly optimized GPU hogging games better than 60 fps at 8k! LOL

News Alan Wake 2 Will Punish Your GPU: Full Path Tracing and Ray Reconstruction, at Launch

Yeah I think I'll just wait until the 6000 series comes out to upgrade. I'm still rockin' my top of the line PC from 2014. It still works. For how much longer? I hope until then, at least.

Question Can everything run Crysis nowadays ?

I'm pretty sure anyone likely over the age of 30 or so has heard the joke going around since 2007 or 2008, "Can it run Crysis?" At the time, the game needed insane system requirements to run smoothly. Just curious to know, out of the current AMD and Intel line up for CPUs, as well as AMD and...

News 30TB Portable SSD Hits Walmart For $39 But Stay Away From It

OMG 30TB for $39!?!? Such a great "deal" !! LOL No, really...if that were legit, I would actually think they'd be around the $1K price point for HDD and $3K for SSD.

News PCIe 7.0 to Reach 512 GB/s, Arrive in 2025

But will it be 2030 before a GPU is manufactured that'll actually throttle PCIe 7.0? Moreover, who would need such a GPU? Maybe One PC, One household and a bunch of thin-clients, that is, if people actually know how to set that up, which is doubtful.

Review iBuypower Intel 12th Gen Z690 i7 DDR4 Gaming Review: One Way to Get Parts

Just food for thought, you may want to think about adding to the AGAINST list the inability to play UHD Blu-rays, since Intel 11th and 12th gen lack that capability.

News 77TB of Research Data Lost Because of HPE Software Up

If you lose data in this day in age, you probably deserve it. Hell, even 20 years ago, I would backup data on a storage medium that I would always have to physically attach. The company that I was working for would back up data, send it off and keep it for at least 4 days at a time. How the...

News DDR5 vs DDR4: Is It Time To Upgrade Your RAM?

I jumped on DDR4 with my Rampage V Extreme. Spent a ton of money for it. This was 2014. Since then, I've actually replaced that initial RAM kit with a 64GB kit at less than half of the price of my initial 16GB kit. This was last year. My PC, aside from lacking Windows 11 TPM 2.0...

News How To Host a Public Website on Your Home Raspberry Pi

Neat, but I just saw Hostinger for only $2.59/month, and you don't even have to pay for electricity. I get it though, you could have total control.

News Someone Made Ubuntu Look Just Like Windows 11

Network - I couldn't figure out why it wasn't working because it had worked before. Then I realized possibly because of the fact that I changed routers not too long ago. Previous router died. Resolution - windosfx 11 only shows one reslution, which has a screen ratio of 4:3. How would I get...
