I recently bought this graphics card, and tried out Need for Speed Rivals. Managed to set everything to ultra, the problem were the fans. They were in the 0 decibel mode, when idle they achieve around 30C, but when playing, even after getting to 60C the fans still didn't turn on. How can I fix this?

I'm planning on buying the new GTX 970, more specifically the MSI version. I know that it has better power consumption than its 700 series counterpart, but when I look at its specifications on MSI's website, it says that the power consumption is 148 Watts but the recommend PSU must be 500 watts...

What are the major differences between the two? I am planning on overclocking, so are there any important OC functions on the more expensive board? Also, how do both of them compare against the MSI Z97 Gaming 3?

I can see the advantage in the higher video ram, but will I be left behind if I don't have the Nvidia technologies? As more Nvidia optimized games come out, will the 280 be a safe bet for the future? And which essential Nvidia technologies will I be missing out on?
