    My dvd player will not detect dvds

    Hello, I have a dvd+/- r/w/ram/cd-r/w and when i insert a dvd it will not detect dvd. It tells me to insert a dvd into the drive - now this will only happen with some dvd's others work fine - do i need to update drivers or what please help
