its been proven to cause a tiny bottleneck which is why i said it. but no it wont bog down an entire system

what exactly is causing you to believe there is a bottleneck? framerate drops? performance lags and/or stutter?

Maybe slightly but I doubt it. the 6850 isnt exactly a powerhouse. the only thing i would guess would be if you had the GPU being a pcie 3.0 x 16 interface into a pcie 2.0 x 16 slot on your motherboard. that might be the only bottleneck off of that config i see. of course I have no research to...
