    Question SSD disappears after shutdown, but doesn't disappear if restarted.

    So, what happened was at times, it read the SSD when we tried to connect all the wires. And for some odd reason, the computer shut itself off when i was away. And now it won't detect the SSD again and the ways we did didn't work for some reason. And yes, I don't thing our BIOS has a long memory...

    I had a new 256gb Ramsta SSD installed to our MSI H81M-P33 motherboard with a BIOS v1A in it. And when we first set it up and turned it on. It worked fine, and when we shut it down, the PC no longer detects the SSD for some reason. So I tried the Workaround 2 in this website...
