its better to immediately go to an expert and have it checked. Spending 50-70 bucks and getting it checked is far better than roasting the whole system.

Advice, grab a decent CPU it will last you 3-4 years easily! Hence better money value. My 4th Gen haswell bought in 2013 is still perfectly chugging games left right and centre. Go for a 6th gen ci5.
