    Even a 960 or a 750ti would be a good choice

Haswell is 4th generation, Broadwell 5th, and Skylake 6th. Do you bother with overclocking or no?

    GTX 960 4GB or R9 380 4GB

If your only touching 1080p, get the cheapest option, they are equally great cards, with their own strength

    i5 6400 vs i5 4690K

If you will not build the computer. I HIGHLY advise to get a GOOD PSU. Otherwise, if you get the 4690K, overclocking might be a problem.

    GTX 960 4GB or R9 380 4GB

Nvidia drivers, are by far way more consistent, and reliable than other competitors including AMD. They are pretty similar, and the 960 runs significantly cooler than the 380. But like the knowledgable fella above me, overclocking the 960 will help surpass the 380 in performance. How ever...

    290 to 980 Ti

The 980 by itself is a very powerful card. If your gonna stick with 1080P it would definitely be an over-kill. However if you are planning on going 144p then its a good investment

First things first, would you like to overclock or no?

Minecraft, relies on single-core performance. Something that Intel is strong in, and AMD is slightly weak in. I can guarantee you that a Core 2 Duo, will outperform a AMD Phenom, in terms of single core performance. Since your streaming get a i5, this is how it would be, 1 core would be busy...

Did I buy a CPU with no heat sink or fan?

Intel has started shipping their CPU's without their stock CPU cooler, expecting consumers to have their own.

Definitely, the i5 is a beast. And the 970 is no joke. Do you overclock, if not then we can lower the motherboard to a H97 and the CPU to a non-K series, so maybe we can get you a 980. You will be able to go on High, with 60fps, or even higher.

Have Intel Pentium 4 CPU processor on HP Media Center 854n,what can i get to go faster?

I have seen a many videos on youtube pairing the Core 2 Quad, or Core 2 Duo, or Core 2 Extreme, with a GTX 750ti. On over 90% of them, they overclocked the CPU, since they have a unlocked multiplier which is useful, squeezing the performance out of them. And I read the Core 2 Duo's start at $11...

    Should I go with 8GB or 16GB? 1600mhz or 2400mhz?

I recall this previous thread Tradesman1 answered back in 2014, http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-2075194/lower-timing-higher-frequency.html A summary of it is, it all depends on your CPU. But please go explore the thread for more. CPU+Mobo combo would be useful to know.
