[SOLVED] Ryzen 7 3700x still good?

Exactly, I always find myself wanting the best of the best, but in reality I only really need the system I've already budgeted for :) I'm happy so long as I can get 2 years of good experiences with this processor!

[SOLVED] Ryzen 7 3700x still good?

Thank you for the reassuring answer. I have checked the benchmarks and it should do the job and help carry some of the heavier games along with a decent gpu (I have the gtx 970 4 gb). I was just a little unsure when seeing other threads similar to this one! :)

[SOLVED] Ryzen 7 3700x still good?

Hi, I'm going to be mostly editing 4k and 1080p footage in Premiere Pro. I won't have any huge timelines or insane amount of transitions, mostly talking head scenes/some vlogs/some basic b roll with a few slow motion. With that said, is Ryzen 7 3700x still a good option for the low cost? I...

[SOLVED] New motherboard = New Win 10 license?

Thank you for the clarification and information on this and how to perform a clean install of Windows. I have linked my license to an MS account and the license is digitally activated so it seems to be in order. I have backed up all the files and programs I want to keep in a secondary hard...

[SOLVED] New motherboard = New Win 10 license?

Will this really work? Let me clarify, the original license was Windows 7 OEM on a CD. Years later I upgraded it to Windows 10 through the Microsoft update center. If I install a new motherboard and cpu, (which is now AMD/AM4) can I take the old SSD with the current Win installation file on...

[SOLVED] New motherboard = New Win 10 license?

Hey, Good input, haven't really thought about that yet (going from chipset to another and having an OEM file on it and so on). I have a lot of system files and installations that I don't want to lose, what do you recommend in terms of backing it up? I have a 1 TB HDD disk installed that has a...

[SOLVED] New motherboard = New Win 10 license?

Hey everyone, I've bought some new parts: Ryzen 7 3700X, Asus B550-F Motherboard, 1 TB SSD and 32 GB 3200 mhz RAM. My current system (custom built) has an old i5-4670K and DDR3 RAM & the old socket motherboard. This Windows license was originally a 7 Home Premium OEM, which is now a Win 10...

[SOLVED] My PC can't handle video editing, right?

Thanks for the reply (and everyone else of course). I recorded a few test videos of me sitting at my desk just talking into the camera (basically the same premise as when I'll record the real thing) in 1080p and the quality is good enough to begin with at least. I realize that 4k is preferred...

[SOLVED] My PC can't handle video editing, right?

Anything really but if I can keep the cost to around $500-700 then I'd be happy. I'll I need to do is upgrade my current custom PC and the components I'll need are: motherboard, ram and cpu But do you really need to record in 4k if you're just doing simple educational videos for Youtube?

[SOLVED] My PC can't handle video editing, right?

Hey, Quick question: Looking to film videos on educational topics (sitting at a desk talking into a camera) in either 4k or FHD quality, but I'm unsure that my PC build will handle the editing workload. The programs I might end up using is not determined yet, but I'm interested in...

This desktop is stuck on the Acer logo when booting

Hey! A friend of mine asked if I could take a look at her Acer desktop running Windows 8.1 since it was running slow and freezing from time to time, so I did. And what everything amounted to was that I did a factory reset. Everything went smoothly and it booted up fine, with the computer being...

    First time gaming computer build

Hey there, It's great that you've decided to build your own gaming rig! Frankly, building my first computer many years ago was one of the most exhilarating experiences I've ever been through. Not that it was exciting and action-filled, but in a way that makes you feel proud when you've...

Which graphics card for my Gaming Build @ 1080p?

Here's a simple guideline that will be true no matter what you do when it comes to building/upgrading computers: Low end components: Low quality power. High end components: High quality power. If you're aiming for a rig that sports some pretty high-quality components and will run under heavy...
