Video Card: GTX 1070

Will this work?
Have any recommended sites to see what is compatible...
The motherboard or CPU seems to have failed. I've disconnected the motherboard from the case and connected
1 x 24-pin EATX Power connector(s)
1 x 8-pin ATX 12V Power connector(s)
1 x 4-pin ATX 12V Power connector(s)
and start the board
Results: the CPU fans not spinning unless jump started by...

The motherboard or CPU seems to have failed. I've disconnected the motherboard from the case and followed your previous suggestion above and the CPU fans not spinning unless jump started by flicking.

The computer gets held up with using MS office and often crashes. Freezing occurs every week or so where I have to hard reset. Running Windows 10 and MS office 365.

But if I just need to update the BIOS, maybe I can go to a local repair shop. So would need different CPU to update the BIOS?
Is Gigabyte motherboards a good brand? I just bought the components and can return.
Newly built computer.
No video, no beeps. Computer turns on, internal lights turn on, fans turn on, GPU turns on, but no video.

How do you force a laptop to only use the Geforce display. Alienware laptop currently uses Intel HD Graphics and Nvidia Geforce GTX 980M. I want to only use the 980M graphics card.
This issues is I'm trying to run an Oculus Rift and it will not recognize the Nvidia card as a display...
