    Dual Core supported games . . .

ok guys, it's now early december - any news on gaming on dual cores? yeah, i've read the posts here, paid attention, but still don't think i've found a definite answer to a question that's been bothering me recently will oblivion run faster if i switch to x2 3800+? i now have 3200+ and 7900gtx...

revoltec 3,4" control causes fans make strange noise

ok, so it's like that i read a lot on pwm control and think it's what caused all the noise, as hinted by many others here and there my vendor checked the controller i returned and found it ok, but agreed to replace it with a voltage control akasa 3,5 (silver, 3 controllers + 2 x usb). this...

Fan controlling - Automatic or Manual - Which is better?

i would also go for manual - you'll probably only need to dabble with it when gaming/not gaming (or some other heavy duty use - are there, like, any? other than gaming?) as the controller is within your hand's reach i guess it won't be a big deal, right? one more thing i just learned recently...

    7600GT and loud fan

yeah, go for it - i mean if them computer vendors understand their business they will gladly sell you the hsf of your choice and install it for you. better leave it to the pros - might be a good idea for you to watch how it's done - it's no big deal really, so next time you can just do it by...

    7600GT and loud fan

metalhead - replacing the stock hfs was not difficult in my case (gainward has a neat system to decouple the old hsf - just a couple of springs) but securing the new one depends on the model. zalman/pentagram is a piece of cake, but i've read that installing those large sandwich-like heatpiped...

    scythe ninja

a ninja is always a good choice. with such low temps i would guess you can run it w/o fan (the way i do) and it will deliver as it has been designed to work as a passive cooler (look at the spacing of the fins). the only thing is - it's not am2 compatible. i hear they're planning to make a new...

Looking for silent CPU cooler - considering TT Golden Orb II

go check spcr (silentpcreview) for truly silent coolers. infinity if mighty fine, ninja also, generally - scythes are one of the very best coolers you might get - both in terms of performance and silence.

    7600GT and loud fan

a zalman-clone called pentagram (semi flower design, available i alu an cu versions) is sold across europe, costs half the price of a zalman and delivers v nicely. it's been tested against a zalman and since it is identical (really) it has the same performance. when on min rpm it's inaudible...

revoltec 3,4" control causes fans make strange noise

i found some info on pwm in spcr forums and related links - helped me a bit. there seem to be pros and cons for using pwm and for using voltage up/down adjustment talking about the sound volume - trust me, you can hear this dreadful whining from another room! a few meters away - it's really...

revoltec 3,4" control causes fans make strange noise

brer, thanks for replying quickly and PWm explanation :) by saying the controller is "out of whack" you mean it's faulty or badly designed or a lemon or... ? i mean - are there any chances that a replacement will work properly? or is it just a poorly designed and built piece of hmmm equipment...

revoltec 3,4" control causes fans make strange noise

hi! i just got a new revoltec 3,5" fan controller. i plugged it in and i think there is a small problem with it. (a little intro here) i have 4 fans in my case (gpu 60 mm - a zalman clone called pentagram, front - kama bay 120 mm, rear - an 80 mm arctic cooling, and an 80 mm coolink front...
