You may boot from Windows installation CD, and then choose hard drive and then format it and install windows there. After that you need to change back the boot sequence to boot from hard drive. -

How is the usb memory stick crashed? If it is physical broken, then you are not able recover data from there. If it is software level error like file able crashed, then you can try data recovery service.
