Only using one has been the case for forever, that's true. Until now. The HB bridge for 1080s, it seems, is nothing too much more complicated than two bridges being plugged in at the same time.

This is true, but my understanding was that directx 12 is eventually going to be able to utilize multiple cards on the directx level and there will be no need for nvidia to continue sli. Anyone else heard anything like this?

If my only goal is to OC my 1080 to 2ghz, will the EVGA ACX do just as good a job as a aib with more pins, or will the extra pins of say a gaming x make a large difference in performance with that OC?
