Update from HDD Sentinel after I filled up my SSD with lots of data (about 400 GB). 10 cycles read test - no bad sectors. Read-Write test - no bad sectors.

Question Samsung 500GB SSD - 1 bad sector

p.s. One more point. I don't have to convince Samsung. As far as I know, my relationship is with Asus and Asus representative (repair service provider) in my country. It may be easier path if you think replacement is necessary at this point.

Question Samsung 500GB SSD - 1 bad sector

P.S. About the healthy disc... or at least the one we think is healthy. Sandisk says this: https://es.transcend-info.com/Support/FAQ-1245 It seems that the "Number of Error Information Log Entries" does not mean much on its own... The healthy disc has big number of these errors also. Here is...

Question Samsung 500GB SSD - 1 bad sector

I can't read that now because now HDD tests gives me 0 bad sectors (after the format). However now I will do some tests of this drive. First I will load it with tons of data (from certain backups). And then re-run the tests. Luckily this notebook has 2 identical discs, so I am safe with my data.

Question Samsung 500GB SSD - 1 bad sector

I did already... 2 times. Quote: "0 KB in bad sectors." However, somehow I don't see this result are reliable. Even when the bad sector was present (before the format), chkdsk sometimes found bad sector, sometimes not :(

Question Samsung 500GB SSD - 1 bad sector

Sorry, but how do you mean "where"? I hope this screenshot helps (block 493): View: https://imgur.com/a/W1Lv8GQ P.S. I did a full format of this disc. Now HDD sentinel does not find bad sector anymore (3 passes, full disc). However, Windows still does not want to scan the drive. Chkdsk is...

Question Samsung 500GB SSD - 1 bad sector

Yes, SSD can get bad blocks :) Model of the disc is: https://semiconductor.samsung.com/ssd/pc-ssd/pm981a/mzvlb512hbjq-00-00-07/ Luckily this notebook has 2. The first one is fine, so all my data is now there. Not sure if smart will mean anything, because Samsung Magician does not work with...
