Well, I have an update. I guess I had to turn the sli switch card to sli mode. I could have sworn that would ruin things but I got it working in the 2nd pcie slot (1st slot empty) and it seems to be running smoothly. Thanks everyone for the help!

OK, so when I put the graphics card in the second slot, leaving the first slot empty, I get no video signal to the monitor at all. The monitor just stays off. No onboard graphics kicking in.

I installed it into the second slot, but when the pc boots up, the screen gets absolutely no signal. I thought it might be a setting in bios to change the second slot to primary, but I can't find it.

Yes, in that manual It states that there are 2 pcie x16, but the second will operate in x8 mode only. I'm fine with that. I'm trying to see if its the slot that's bad, not my graphics cards. So no one knows how to get it to work in the second slot? I don't want to start buying replacememt parts...

I ordered another dvi cable, but I'm not certain its the problem. Sometimes the computer freezes altogether. Id really like to utilize that second slot.
