First try to take out the round CMOS battery from the motherboard then reinstall it... if that doesn't work then contact the motherboard manufacturer and ask them to replace it. I had the same problem a year ago and it ended up that the bios was messed up so ASUS replaced it.

So I am building a new PC with a budget of $400... I have an old build with an i5 2500k, water cooler, 8gb ddr3 ram, and the mobo... Im not sure if I should stick with this build and upgrade off of it.. or if I should just make a cheap build.. what are your guys' toughts

The problem has been fixed by Asus. I am sending them the board because there was a malfunction with the BIOS.

I have followed every video and article trying to fix this and it wont work. I took my pc to a frienda house and it worked me there but i brought it home and it stopped working. Any suggestions? Also got “please enter setup to recover bios settings” but it wont let me go into bios

Well i did what you said and it booted.. Do you know what would cause that? I can't thank you enough for helping me with this. I worked on it for 5 hours and couldn't get it and that was such a simple solution... thank you!!! I'll order a new psu

Okay i can try one I have. I used a shop vac to blow dust out without making any contact with any of the parts. I did unplug everything though. Also it doesn't seem like it would be the psu because it was all working properly before the cleaning.... it seems pretty weird that it all stopped...
